10,000 Scoop Challenge Lancaster 2025 Recap: Ewell Plaza

August 15, 2025

If Lancaster knows how to do one thing… it’s turn an ordinary Friday into a sweet celebration! Thanks to all who made our fifth 10,000 Scoop Challenge of 2025 an ‘udderly’ unforgettable day 😉

On Friday, August 1, we joined forces with Turkey Hill to dish out 10,000 FREE scoops of Original Moose Tracks right in the heart of downtown Lancaster at Ewell Plaza. And here’s the cherry on top— for every scoop served, Moose Tracks and Turkey Hill each donated $1 to Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay, supporting clean water initiatives and local water conservation efforts right in Lancaster.

Ewell Plaza was buzzing with energy—locals popping by on their lunch breaks, families wandering through the square, and friends meeting up for a cone (or three). A giant thank-you to the amazing volunteers from Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay and Maola Dairy Farms. Without your scooping superpowers, hitting 10,000 scoops would’ve been impossible.

We even had special appearances from Lancaster’s very own VIP scoopers—including leadership from Turkey Hill, Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay, Maola Dairy Farms, and familiar faces from ABC27/WHTM-TV. These pros know how to wield an ice cream scoop like nobody’s business!

How to Celebrate National S’mores Day

August 2, 2025

There’s no treat quite as nostalgic (or messy in the best way) as the beloved s’more. And what better excuse to lean into all that ooey-gooey goodness than National S’mores Day on August 10th, 2025? After all, melty chocolate, gooey marshmallows, and crunchy grahams deserve a day of their own.

Whether you’re a traditionalist with your campfire set-up or a kitchen innovator ready to put a twist on the classic combo, we’ve got ideas that are guaranteed to make your celebration extra sweet—especially when you invite Moose Tracks into the mix!

Celebrate While Camping

  • Add Teddy Grahams and mini marshmallows to Extreme! Moose Tracks Trail Mix: Take your favorite trail mix to the next level. Mix crunchy Teddy Grahams, mini marshmallows and Extreme! Moose Tracks Trail mix into a resealable bag for the ultimate grab-and-go s’mores-inspired mix.
  • Making campfire s’mores using waffle cones instead of graham crackers: Pack chocolate chips, mini marshmallows, and crushed graham crackers inside a waffle cone, wrap in foil, and place over the campfire until everything is melted and magical. It’s like a hand-held dessert taco—without the mess.
  • Ditch the branches from your backyard and toast your marshmallows with our telescoping s’mores sticks: Upgrade your marshmallow roasting game with our extendable skewers that let you toast to golden-brown perfection without playing fire roulette.
  • Cool down with a scoop of Moose Tracks by the fire: After all that heat, a bowl of Original Moose Tracks ice cream by the campfire hits just right. Pair it with a toasted marshmallow on top for the ultimate summer moment.

Celebrate Indoors

  • Layer up a s’mores sundae in a bowl: Add graham cracker crumbles, marshmallow fluff, and chocolate syrup over scoops of Original Moose Tracks for a dessert that tastes like summer nostalgia in every bite.
  • Bake a s’mores skillet and top it with Moose Tracks: Melt marshmallows, chocolate chunks, and graham crackers in a cast iron skillet, then scoop Original Moose Tracks on top just before serving. Warm, cold, crunchy, gooey—it’s everything all at once.
  • Make s’mores dip in the oven: Line a baking dish with chocolate and marshmallows, bake until melted and golden, then use graham crackers to scoop it up. Or better yet, dip your ice cream cone in it!
  • Microwave s’mores for a 30-second sweet fix: Don’t want to light a fire or turn on the oven? Stack a graham cracker, chocolate square, and marshmallow, then microwave for 10–15 seconds. Smash it with another cracker and dig in.

Celebrate with Moose Tracks

  • Create a DIY s’mores sundae bar: Set out bowls of crushed graham crackers, mini marshmallows, hot fudge, and Moose Tracks ice cream so everyone can build their own dream sundae. Add extra fun with toppings like peanut butter drizzle, caramel sauce, or sprinkles.
  • Turn s’mores into milkshakes: Blend Moose Tracks, milk, graham crackers, and a spoonful of marshmallow fluff to create a s’more shake. Rim your glass with chocolate and crushed grahams, and torch a marshmallow for the perfect garnish on top.
  • Build s’mores ice cream sandwiches: Use chocolate chip cookies or graham crackers as your base, then add a scoop of Moose Tracks, a drizzle of melted chocolate, and a toasted marshmallow in the center. Freeze or devour immediately.

No matter how you celebrate, National S’mores Day is the perfect excuse to indulge in all things melty, sweet, and fun. And with Moose Tracks in the mix, you’re guaranteed to take your treat to legendary levels.
