10,000 Scoop Challenge 2026 Tour Stop #1: Greensboro, North Carolina
June 8, 2026
Hello, Greensboro! We’re kicking the 10,000 Scoop Challenge tour off in the Gate City, and you’re officially invited.
Join us on Thursday, June 11, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. as we team up with Mayfield Dairy Farms® to serve 10,000 FREE scoops of Original Moose Tracks ice cream—all in support of The Salvation Army of Greensboro.
Whether you’re a Greensboro native, a nearby neighbor, or simply passing through, stop by for an afternoon of free ice cream and community fun. Every scoop served helps support a great cause, so your sweet treat can do a little good, too.
What is the 10,000 Scoop Challenge?
The 10,000 Scoop Challenge is an ice cream social with a mission.
In just four hours, we will attempt to serve 10,000 free scoops of Mayfield Original Moose Tracks ice cream. For every scoop that we serve, we’ll donate $1 to The Salvation Army of Greensboro in hopes of serving 10,000 scoops and raising $10,000.
We’ll be scooping as fast as we can—but we’ll need Greensboro’s help to hit the mark, so invite your friends and family, and get in line for that second (or third!) cone. 😉
Why The Salvation Army of Greensboro?
A great event deserves a great community partner, and The Salvation Army of Greensboro was an easy choice.
For years, the organization has provided vital support and services to individuals and families throughout the area, helping meet immediate needs while creating pathways toward long-term stability. Their dedication to serving the community reflects the spirit of what the 10,000 Scoop Challenge is all about: Bringing people together and making a positive impact in the places we visit.
We’re honored to support their work and help shine a spotlight on the difference they make every day.
Why Greensboro?
There’s a reason Greensboro is our first stop of the year.
This city has a strong sense of community, a rich history, and a reputation for showing up when it matters. It’s a place where neighbors support neighbors, making it the perfect backdrop for an event centered around giving back.
Greensboro also happens to be full of places worth exploring while you’re in town. A few of our favorites include:
- Greensboro Science Center – A beloved family destination featuring an aquarium, zoo, and hands-on science exhibits.
- The International Civil Rights Center & Museum – A powerful destination that preserves and shares an important piece of American history.
- LeBauer Park – A vibrant downtown gathering space filled with public art, events, and family-friendly fun.
- The Bog Garden at Benjamin Park – A scenic boardwalk trail that showcases the natural beauty of North Carolina.
- Downtown Greensboro – Packed with local restaurants, craft breweries, shops, and plenty of reasons to stay awhile.
