10K Scoops Buffalo 2024: Lafayette Square

July 17, 2024

Our third 10,000 Scoop Challenge of 2024 had an amazing turnout! We traveled to Buffalo, NY, on Thursday, July 11, and served 10,000 scoops of FREE Hershey’s Original Moose Tracks Ice Cream and donated $10,000 to FeedMore WNY.

The event took place in Lafayette Square, right in the middle of historic downtown Buffalo. The crowds were steady for a free scoop (or two) of Original Moose Tracks. By the time our event ended, the sun peaked through the clouds, which almost signified the success of donating $10,000 for our wonderful charity partner. FeedMore WNY invited local volunteers to come help set up, scoop, and hand out ice cream with smiling faces.

We invited local celebrity scoopers like TV news reporters, radio show hosts and fire department officials to help us hand out ice cream. ABC 7 News (WKBW-TV) and WIVB News 4 Buffalo (CBS) came out to enjoy the cover the event and enjoy a scoop themselves. Huge shoutout to everyone who was able to lend a helping hand and spread the word – we couldn’t have done it without you!

Tracks the Moose hung out all day, handing out “hoof fives” and hugs to kids and adults alike. For even more fun, we had a balloon twister and face painter on-site to add even more entertainment for the crowds.

10K Scoops Raleigh 2023: City Plaza

June 29, 2023

Moose Tracks partnered with Hershey’s Ice Cream to serve up 10,000 scoops of Original Moose Tracks AND Banana PB Moose Tracks to families, coworkers, summer campers, and more. The best part – for each scoop served, Moose Tracks donated $1 to The Salvation Army of Wake County with a goal of serving 10,000 Scoops and donating $10,000. Well, the mission was accomplished, and $10,000 was raised to support vital local programs in Raleigh!

Hershey's Banana PB Moose Tracks and a scoop of Original Moose Tracks on a cone

This event was extra special because two delicious flavors of Moose Tracks were served. Of course, Original Moose Tracks is scooped at every event, but the city of Raleigh was in for a unique treat with a second flavor option! Banana PB Moose Tracks, which features banana flavored ice cream with peanut butter flakes and famous Moose Tracks Fudge, was a huge hit!

The event started out with periods of solid rain, but Raleighites did not disappoint – as soon as the rain cleared, ice cream fans came in large groups and ate multiple scoops to support reaching the 10,000-scoop goal. This lofty goal was no match for Raleigh!
