Gone but Not Forgotten: Retired Moose Tracks Flavors We Still Think About

November 1, 2026

Some flavors are just too good to forget! Over the years, we’ve dreamed up plenty of delicious creations, but sadly, not all of them have stuck around.

While we love our current lineup, there’s something special about looking back at the flavors that once filled our freezers (and our hearts). Let’s take a little trip down memory lane!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Moose Tracks: Gone, but definitely not forgotten… One of our most recent retirees, Chocolate Peanut Butter Moose Tracks was previously available for many years in the Private Selection brand at Kroger banner stores. If you were lucky enough to try this flavor, you know why we still think about it!

Fudge Cup Moose Tracks: If you’re a fan of Extreme! Moose Tracks, this one’s for you. Fudge Cup Moose Tracks delivered a similar fudge-filled experience, but with a vanilla ice cream base instead of chocolate. Proof that sometimes a little switch-up makes all the difference. Its tenure was in the late 2010s, available only in the Safeway O Organics brand.

Glacier Mint Moose Tracks: Think Mint Moose Tracks, but with a twist. Glacier Mint Moose Tracks featured the same delicious flavor fans know and love, but swapped the signature minty-green ice cream for a white mint-flavored base. Same refreshing flavor, different look! This flavor used to be available in the Belmont brand at Aldi, as well as the Crystal Creamery brand in California.

Glacier Bay Lemon: Here’s a flavor that stood out from the herd. Glacier Bay Lemon was a Denali Classic unlike anything else in our lineup. While we have explored fruity flavors over the years, we’ve mostly stuck to berry-cherry variations. It’s safe to say that this citrusy creation brought something a little different to the freezer aisle many moons ago!

If you’re into fruity, decadent ice cream flavors, check to see if any of these are sold near you: Cherry Moose Tracks, Strawberry Maximum Fudge Moose Tracks, or Banana PB Moose Tracks.

Bear Foot Cookie Dough: Bear Foot Cookie Dough is part of a retired Denali Classics lineup, featuring a vanilla ice cream base, delicious mix-ins and signature Bear Foot Fudge. While this particular flavor has said its goodbyes, the Bear Foot legacy lives on! You can still find a variation, Bear Foot Brownie, at Stater Bros. Markets.

Which Flavor Would You Bring Back?

They may be retired, but these flavors still have a special place in Moose Tracks history. From chocolate-packed favorites to unexpected creations, each one brought something unique to the freezer aisle.

If you could bring back one retired flavor, which would it be? Visit our flavors page to see what other sweet creations have come and gone. Maybe, one day, they’ll be back!
