Michigan Fall Bucket List: Top Activities and Places to Visit in the Mitten

We are fortunate enough to have four seasons in Michigan, and fall is one of our favorites! Moose Tracks was born in the beautiful mitten state, so we speak from experience when we say there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Here’s our bucket list of activities and places to visit during autumn in Michigan:

  1. Cider Mills & Apple Orchards: Indulge in the ultimate fall experience by visiting one of Michigan’s many cider mills and apple orchards. Savor freshly pressed apple cider, warm cinnamon donuts, and hayrides at places like Blake’s Orchard & Cider Mill in Armada, Robinette’s Apple Haus & Winery in Grand Rapids, Long’s Family Orchard & Cider Mill in Commerce, and more!
  2. Professional Sports & More: Fall marks a new season for the NHL Red Wings, NFL Detroit Lions, and NBA Pistons. Get tickets for a group of friends, tailgate, and enjoy all that Little Ceasars, Ford Field, and the rest of Detroit have to offer. Make sure you grab a bite at the iconic Tin Roof or Brass Rail in downtown Detroit during your visit. If you’re on the west side, experience a Grand Rapids Griffins hockey game at the Van Andel Arena.
  3. Big Ten Football: Speaking of sports, and if you’d rather experience quaint college campuses and Ben Ten Football, root for the Michigan State Spartans in East Lansing or the University of Michigan Wolverines in Ann Arbor.

Located on the shores of Lake Superior, Marquette is surrounded by history, nature and scenic views you’ll never forget.
