Extreme! Moose Tracks Trail Mix Bars

If your life is busy—and let’s face it, whose isn’t—you can still eat well with this on-the-go bar. Using our newest snack, Extreme! Moose Tracks Trail Mix, these bars are easy to prep, and even easier to pack in your bag for travel, work, or school. 

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line the bottom and sides of an 8-inch or 9-inch square pan with parchment paper.

  2. Spread 2 ½ cups of oats on a baking sheet. Bake for 5 minutes, stir, and bake another 3 to 5 minutes until lightly toasted. Transfer to a large bowl.

  3. Meanwhile, place the contents of the bag of the Extreme! Moose Tracks Trail Mix on a cutting board and chop until pieces are a similar size (about ½ inch wide). Add to the bowl with the oats.

  4. Heat the butter, honey, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and salt in a small saucepan over medium heat. Make sure you stir continuously until the butter melts, the mixture bubbles, and the sugar dissolves.

  5. Pour the butter mixture into the bowl with the toasted oats and trail mix. Mix well until everything is well combined. Let cool for 5 minutes.

  6. Transfer the oat mixture to the prepared square pan and press it firmly into the pan using a rubber spatula.

  7. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

  8. Remove the block of granola from the pan and peel away the parchment. Cut into 12 bars.

  9. Store in an airtight container. Enjoy!

  • 2 ½ cups old fashioned rolled oats

  • 1/3 cups honey

  • ¼ cups unsalted butter, cut into pieces

  • ¼ cups packed light brown sugar

  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

  • ¼ teaspoon fine sea salt
