Moose Tracks Hot Cocoa Bombs

6 Servings

If there’s one dessert to keep you cozy this winter, it’s these Moose Tracks Ice Cream-stuff hot cocoa bombs! Enjoy a hot cocoa bomb on its own, or place at the bottom of your mug with hot milk. YUM!

Instructions:

  1. Melt ½ cup of the chocolate melting wafers. Place it in a large microwave safe measuring cup and microwave in 30-second increments, stirring in between cycles. Proceed until smooth.

  2. Slowly pour the melted chocolate into hot cocoa bomb molds and smooth out to make an even coating around the outside. You can use a spoon to guide the chocolate around the mold.

  3. Place the molds in the freezer for about 10 minutes to let them set.

  4. Now remove from freezer along with your carton of Moose Tracks ice cream.

  5. Add ¼ cup of chocolate melting wafers to a microwave safe measuring cup and melt it like you did in step 1. You’re going to use this as the “glue” for your hot cocoa bomb.

  6. Gently pop the hot cocoa bomb shells out of the molds and place on a plate. Add a scoop of Moose Tracks ice cream to half of the hot cocoa bomb molds. If you plan to enjoy these as traditional hot cocoa, at this step, you may also add in 1 TBSP of hot cocoa mix to the hot cocoa bomb molds, if desired. This will create a richer hot cocoa, but it’s not necessary.

  7. Using the freshly melted chocolate, take an empty mold and place it on top of the hot cocoa bomb mold filled with Moose Tracks. Use a small spatula to spread the melted chocolate on the seam to glue the two molds together and make one ball.

  8. Place in the freezer until you’re ready to serve. You can either eat them as-is or place them in the bottom of a mug and add near-boiling milk to melt the bomb and enjoy as hot cocoa.
