Moose Tracks Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate Float

1 Servings

Step aside, root beer floats, there’s a new treat in town!

Indulge your nostalgia with our take on the popular root beer float. We simply made a peanut butter hot chocolate and poured it over a few scoops of Original Moose Tracks ice cream for an irresistibly tasty treat.

Instructions:

  1. Take a tablespoon or two of the milk and whisk it with the cornstarch in a small bowl. Set aside for now.

  2. Take the rest of the milk, the unsweetened cocoa powder, chocolate chips, and peanut butter, and combine them in a saucepan over medium heat.

  3. Heat the mixture, stirring constantly, until the chocolate and peanut butter are completely melted, and the mixture is steaming, about 5-8 minutes. Do not let it come to a boil. The mixture should be nice and smooth.

  4. Pour in the cornstarch mixture and stir together. Continue to heat while constantly whisking until the mixture thickens slightly, about 1 minute.

  5. Take the handful of chocolate chips and place them in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second increments, stirring each time, until smooth.

  6. Dip the rim of your glass into the melted chocolate and then roll in chopped peanuts.

  7. Place a few scoops of Original Moose Tracks into your mug.

  8. Pour the hot chocolate mixture over it.

  9. You’re ready to serve! Garnish with whipped cream and any other fun toppings.
