Fried Moose Tracks Ice Cream

2 Servings

A dish full of juxtapositions, Fried Moose Tracks ice cream is fun to make and easy to impress. Inspired by traditional fried ice cream, which is commonly served in Chinese and Mexican cuisines, we make our version with Original Moose Tracks Ice Cream. But don’t worry – you can recreate this recipe using any Moose Tracks Ice Cream flavor!

Instructions:

  1. Scoop Original Moose Tracks ice cream to form two large balls of ice cream. Cover and freeze on a plate for at least 1 hour.

  2. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, whisk the heavy whipping cream with 1/8 teaspoon of vanilla extract.

  3. In another, more shallow bowl, mix crushed cornflakes cereal and cinnamon.

  4. When the ice cream balls are ready, dip them into the whipping cream mixture, then roll them across the cornflake mixture, coating evenly.

  5. Cover and freeze for another hour. Set the remaining cornflake mixture and whipping cream mixture in the fridge until you’re ready for the next step.

  6. Repeat once more, first rolling the ball in the whipping cream mixture and then the cornflake mixture. Return to freezer for another hour.

  7. In a skillet or fryer, heat oil to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. You’ll want to use quite a bit so that you can fully deep fry the balls. Fry each ice cream ball until golden brown. Drain on paper towels, top with whipped cream, and serve immediately.
