10K Scoops Indianapolis 2023: Monument Circle

August 4, 2023

The 10,000 Scoop Challenge Tour is still going strong with another successful event in Indianapolis! On Thursday, July 27, our team journeyed down to the racing capital of the world for our fourth, and second-to-last, event to serve 10,000 scoops of FREE Original Moose Tracks Ice Cream and raise $10,000 for The Salvation Army of Central Indiana’s Ruth Lilly Women and Children’s Center.

The event took place on one of Indy’s most popular historic attractions, Monument Circle. It was a hot summer day, perfect for handing out ice cream and cooling off the crowds. Families, kids, coworkers and fans filled the lines steadily all day long.

We even invited local celebrity scoopers, morning talk show hosts, sports directors, police officers, and superintendents to make an appearance, help us scoop and engage with community members and ice cream enthusiasts alike.

15K Scoops Grand Rapids 2023: Rosa Parks Circle

August 4, 2023

Our last, but certainly not least, 10,000 Scoop Challenge took place where it all started back in 2010: Grand Rapids, Michigan! Our team headed down to our home city on August 1, 2023, to celebrate our 50th 10K Scoops event by handing out not 10, but 15,000 scoops of Country Fresh Original Moose Tracks Ice Cream and donating $15,000 to Kids’ Food Basket.

The event took place in Rosa Parks Circle and the energy was electric. We had face painters, giveaways, a 360-photo booth, and a lunch bag decorating station for Kids’ Food Basket. The attendance was incredible, and Rosa Parks Circle was flooded with friends, coworkers, kids, families and local celebrities.

We invited special guests to hand out ice cream, like the Grand Rapids Mayor, Rosalynn Bliss, Grand Rapids Police Chief, Eric Winstrom, Grand Rapids Fire Chief, Brad Brown, Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce CEO, Rich Baker, Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Deputy Director, Kathy Angerer, and morning talk show hosts, Lori Maranda Cook, Michelle Dunaway, Ruta Ulcinate, and Max White. Crash, the West Michigan Whitecaps mascot, also made a special appearance and spread joy with our mascot, Tracks, by interacting with kids and families alike.

We hope you had a chance to stop by and say hi! Tag us in your photos and use the hashtag #10KScoops!

10K Scoops Asheville 2023: Pack Square Park

June 29, 2023

Our third 10,000 Scoop Challenge event of 2023 was a success! The team traveled to Asheville, North Carolina, on Thursday, June 22. Moose Tracks partnered with Ingles Markets, Kemps and Mayfield Dairy Farms to serve 10,000 scoops of FREE Kemps and Mayfield Original Moose Tracks Ice Cream and raise $10,000 for MANNA FoodBank.

The event took place in Pack Square Park, a quaint little spot right in the heart of downtown Asheville. It was a gloomy Thursday, but that didn’t stop the crowds from swinging by for a FREE scoop (or two) of Original Moose Tracks. Many wonderful volunteers from MANNA FoodBank came to support by helping set up, scoop, hand out ice cream and happily greet all who joined.

We even invited local celebrity scoopers, like food bloggers, police officers, firefighters, and city council members to come help us scoop. It was an amazing turnout!

10K Scoops Raleigh 2023: City Plaza

June 29, 2023

This year, the 10,000 Scoop Challenge tour stopped in Raleigh, North Carolina, for an event in the heart of the Raleigh at City Plaza! Moose Tracks partnered with Hershey’s Ice Cream to serve up 10,000 scoops of Original Moose Tracks AND Banana PB Moose Tracks to families, coworkers, summer campers, and more. The best part – for each scoop served, Moose Tracks donated $1 to The Salvation Army of Wake County with a goal of serving 10,000 Scoops and donating $10,000. Well, the mission was accomplished, and $10,000 was raised to support vital local programs in Raleigh!

This event was extra special because two delicious flavors of Moose Tracks were served. Of course, Original Moose Tracks is scooped at every event, but the city of Raleigh was in for a unique treat with a second flavor option! Banana PB Moose Tracks, which features banana flavored ice cream with peanut butter flakes and famous Moose Tracks Fudge, was a huge hit!

The event started out with periods of solid rain, but Raleighites did not disappoint – as soon as the rain cleared, ice cream fans came in large groups and ate multiple scoops to support reaching the 10,000-scoop goal. This lofty goal was no match for Raleigh!

10K Scoops Birmingham 2023: Rocking Linn Park

June 23, 2023

Our first 10,000 Scoop Challenge event of 2023 is complete! We traveled to Birmingham, Alabama, for an event on Tuesday, June 6th. Moose Tracks partnered with Mayfield Dairy Farms to serve 10,000 scoops of Original Moose Tracks and raise $10,000 for the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama.

The event took place at Linn Park, in a great spot overlooking city hall. Mobs of coworkers, city officials, families, and friends stopped by for their FREE scoop of Original Moose Tracks. Tons of volunteers from the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama generously gave their time to set up, hand out ice cream, and greet the community with a smile.

We even had some fun celebrity scoopers at the event, such as news personalities, police officers, and local sports team mascots, players, and cheerleaders.

Join the Screen Freeze Initiative with Moose Tracks Ice Cream!

May 26, 2023

Hello Moose Tracks fans!

We’re thrilled to announce our new initiative, Screen Freeze!

In response to growing concerns about the effects of excessive screen time, we’re challenging ourselves and our community to take a technology hiatus once a month to savor the sweet moments with friends and family.

What is Screen Freeze?

Screen Freeze is our commitment to promoting a balanced lifestyle.

On the fourth Sunday of each month, we’ll refrain from posting on our social media channels and invite you to join us! For 24 hours, we encourage you to swap your digital devices for real-world experiences that bring joy and connection to your life.

Why Screen Freeze?

In our increasingly connected world, it’s easy to lose ourselves in the endless scroll of social media and digital screens. While these tools offer many conveniences, they can also contribute to feelings of stress and isolation. Excessive screen time can disrupt our sleep patterns, reduce our productivity, and even impact our overall mood and mental health.

By participating in Screen Freeze, you’re not just reducing screen time — you’re giving yourself a chance to disconnect, reset, and recharge. By swapping screens for more face-to-face interactions, you might be surprised by the joy and fulfillment that come from simple, off-screen activities. It’s about creating a healthier, more balanced lifestyle for ourselves and our loved ones.

What to Expect?

As Moose Tracks embarks on this Screen Freeze journey, every fourth Sunday of the month will see us take a pause from our social media activity.

During this time, you can expect to receive reminders in the days leading up to each Screen Freeze, helping you to prepare for your own day off-screen.

Please note that while we will continue to respond to any urgent direct messages during this period, all other messages will be attended to on the following Monday

We appreciate your understanding as we join you in taking this well-deserved digital break.

How to Participate

Participating in Screen Freeze is simple.

On the fourth Sunday of each month, take a break from your digital devices and enjoy the day.

Share your planned activities with us in advance or your experiences after by tagging us on social media!

Sweet Moments with Moose Tracks

Remember, the essence of Screen Freeze isn’t just about reducing screen time — it’s about carving out time for what truly matters. When we put away our devices, we make room for meaningful face-to-face connections, time in nature, and other off-screen activities that bring joy and fulfillment to our lives.

This initiative encourages us to reclaim our time and attention to invest it in experiences that make us smile and bring us closer together. Whether that’s a cozy family movie night, an outdoor adventure, or simply indulging in a scoop of your favorite Moose Tracks Ice Cream, it’s these real-life moments that make our days truly special. Join us in the Screen Freeze initiative, unplug to reconnect, and let’s together foster a community that values real-world connections. See you on the other side of the screen, Moose Tracks Family!

Remember to keep it cool, keep it sweet, and savor those Moose Tracks moments.
