Elevate your coffee bar and your dessert offering with this Moose Tracks Ice Cream Affogato in an Ice Cream Cone recipe.

Moose Tracks ice cream and coffee are a natural pairing, and we’ve taken it to a whole new level by using an ice cream cone as a mug.

To make, simply grab a cake cone and (optional) rim it with melted chocolate and your choice of toppings like peanuts or sprinkles. Fill the cone with your favorite Moose Tracks ice cream flavor (we’re using Original Moose Tracks), make a cup of coffee or espresso, and pour it over the cone and, voila! Your Moose Tracks affogato in a cone is made.

Instructions:

  1. Place the chocolate chips into a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second increments, stirring between each time, until smooth.

  2. Spoon melted chocolate into each cone and coat the inside using the back of a spoon or a small spatula. This helps thicken the cone, so the espresso doesn’t melt it.

  3. If you'd like to add garnish to the rim of the cone, dip the top of the cone in melted chocolate and roll it in toppings like sprinkles or peanuts.

  4. Then, place in the freezer for a few minutes so that the chocolate cools completely.

  5. While you wait, make the coffee or espresso.

  6. Once the coffee is ready, remove cones from the freezer and put a generous scoop of ice cream into each chocolate-coated cone.

  7. Finish by pouring hot espresso or coffee over the ice cream in each cone, and serve!
