Plating Pixel’s Homemade Brownie Sundae with Caramel Sauce

9 Servings

Matt Ivan of Plating Pixels creates the ultimate homemade brownie sundae using Moose Tracks.

Any flavor works for this recipe, but we recommend Original Moose Tracks or Brownie Moose Tracks for an extra-indulgent treat.

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F. Butter or grease a 9x9 baking dish on all sides.

  2. In a medium bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Set aside.

  3. In a small bowl, combine 3 oz. of chocolate chips and butter and place in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds, until melted. Cool slightly.

  4. Pour melted chocolate in a large bowl. Stir in both sugars and vanilla until combined. Stir in eggs then flour mixture just until combined.

  5. Chop remaining 2 oz. of chocolate chips then fold into batter. Pour batter into prepared baking dish.

  6. Bake 35-40 minutes or until the top is mostly set and a toothpick inserted in center comes out mostly clean.

  7. Allow to cool at least 15 minutes, then carefully cut into squares and remove from dish.

  8. Now, toast the toppings. Toast pecans in a small pan over medium-high heat, stirring often until browned. Remove from pan and cool slightly.

  9. While brownies are slightly warm, top each with scoops of ice cream, caramel drizzle and pecan pieces.

  10. Optionally, top with additional toppings like chocolate sauce, whipped cream, banana slices, and maraschino cherries.
