Salted Caramel Cold Brew
8 Servings
Cold coffee fans unite! Something about warmer weather makes us crave iced coffee, and what better way to enjoy a rich, smooth cold brew than paired with a sweet, caramel-y creamer? We’ll show you how to make the best cold brew, and how to dress it up with a fan favorite topping – Salty Caramel Caribou ice cream, of course!
No fancy equipment is needed for this one. Making our Salted Caramel Cold Brew is simple and easy, you just need a little time and patience. Make this a day in advance of when you’d like to enjoy!
Instructions:
-
Coarsely grind your coffee beans or get freshly ground beans from a local coffee shop or roaster. While pre-ground beans will also work, we don’t recommend them for the best tasting cold brew.
-
Place the ground coffee in a 28-ounce cup or jar. Add water and stir.
-
Cover and set aside for 12 to 24 hours at room temperature.
-
Spread a coffee filter in a fine mesh strainer and place it over a large bowl. Strain the coffee through the filter and strainer. Now you’ve got cold brew! Well, I guess it’s room temperature brew. Store your coffee in the fridge until you’re ready to enjoy it.
-
When serving, drizzle caramel syrup along the inside of your favorite glass. Pour in roughly a half-glass of cold brew, then fill the remaining half of the glass with Salty Caramel Caribou ice cream. Yum!
-
Salty Caramel Caribou Ice Cream (regular Caramel Caribou works well too, just add flaky salt on top for that salty flavor!)
-
3 cups of coarsely ground coffee
-
6 cups filtered water
