Ice cream solves everything, but how do you solve for ice cream that’s too hard to scoop? Quality ingredients mixed into a rich, creamy, and ice-cold dessert like Moose Tracks can make scooping difficult at times – but we have good news.

Follow these 5 hacks to perfectly scoop ice cream the next time you pull Moose Tracks out of the freezer:

  1. Set out your favorite flavor of Moose Tracks a few minutes before you plan on serving it.
  2. Carefully use a knife to cut a checkerboard pattern into the ice cream tub for easy scooping.
  3. Run your ice cream scoop under hot water before you scoop.
  4. Scoop from the outside first, since it melts faster.
  5. Before you throw your Moose Tracks back in the freezer, close the carton up tightly in a freezer-safe bag. This keeps your ice cream softer by keeping contact from the air. Science

Celebrate Back-to-School Season with an Ice Cream Social!

Looking for a creative and simple way to celebrate your kids before they head back to school? Host a Back-to-School Ice Cream Social! It’s inexpensive, fun, and a great way to cap off the summer.

Here’s our tips for a great party:

    1. Re-purpose your beverage tub for the ice cream station. Of course, we loaded our tub with our favorite flavors of Moose Tracks!
    2. Think outside the box with decorations. We made several inexpensive school supplies into décor!
      • Use pencil boxes to hold napkins and spoons
      • Wrap colored pencils around a vase and tie with a fabric tape measure for a simple school-themed vase!
      • Make a “BACK-TO-SCHOOL” banner out of lunch bags
    3. Don’t forget tons of toppings!
    4. Take pictures! Time flies, so make sure you enjoy this special season.

Remembering Our Alaskan Roots

Did you know that Denali Flavors originally started as a family of “Alaskan Classics®” ice cream flavors? Our signature flavor has always been Moose Tracks®, of course, but at one time, Moose Tracks was surrounded with a plethora of Alaska-themed flavors. Many of these flavors have come and gone, but some of the Alaskan Classics are still available today!

You may recognize our company name, Denali, which comes from Denali National Park in Alaska. All of our flavor names and logos are rooted in indigenous Alaskan animals or other Alaskan icons. In the 1990s, we launched the “Alaskan Classics” family of flavors. Since that time, Moose Tracks has become a flavor phenomenon and many varieties of Moose Tracks have since been introduced. However, several of the original “Alaskan Classics” flavors are still being enjoyed today.
